Streets to Happiness

This month the theme of Piarom´s Mix It Monthly (http://mix-it-monthly.blogspot.de)
is “Maps”. Here is my entry for this theme. Also it goes well to the theme “Moments of Happiness” of  Art-Journal-Journey this month.
I have created the background with my self-made spray paints. After this I glued some pieces of a map on the paper. Otherwise I used ink pens, white acryl paint and coloured pencils.

Fantasie # 2 - Moments of Happiness

This month the theme of Art-Journal-Journey  is “Moments of Happiness”.
This page is the final part of my piece “Fantasie #1”. You can see it in this earlier post.
I love soap bubbles and the seeds of dandelion with their little parachutes. For me it’s a moment of happiness if soap bubbles or the little parachutes of dandelion are dancing  with the wind.
Also I love to play with my pens on the paper … wonderful moments of happiness for me!

Fantasie #2 (2014; 14 x 21 cm)

Fantasie #1 + #2 (2014; Artjournal spread; 29 x 21 cm)
I have created the background with my self-made spray paints and watercolors.  On the edges at the bottom I glued pieces of coloured Origami paper. Otherwise I used white gel pen, white acryl paint, ink pens and coloured pencils. And wonders will never cease … this time I took some photos of the steps during the process!

Fantasie #2 - Some steps!

Rixty - Challenge # 163

The Diva´s Weekly Challenge # 163: New Official Tangle - Rixty
Some weeks ago Rick and Maria from Zentangle® Maria released a new Official Tangle called "Rixty" and we had the chance to deconstruct it by ourselves. So I tried it myself three weeks ago. It´s a wonderful tangle! For this challenge I use my Kraft paper and a light blue brushpen (Faber Castell PITT artist pen) again … I love this colour.

For my tile I used the tangles Cayke, Crescent Moon and Chillon. Especially I like Crescent Moon and Cayke. Both have so lovely arcs which gave me the possibility to combine these tangles.
Also I love my Kraft paper (Canson XL Kraft sketch pad) very much at the moment. Therefore I used it for this challenge. So much fun!

Quandary All Over - Challenge #161

The Diva´s Weekly Challenge # 161: "In a Quandary about Quandary"
This week Laura wrote on her blog
“There's a lot of discussion among CZTs on the best way to do this tangle...
This week's challenge is a practice challenge - to find the way that works for you”

I really like Quandary very much. There are so many possibilities of variations. I can vary the size or fill the rice shapes on different ways. Also I can fill the space between the rice shapes. And the possibilities of variations multiply by using colours.
By practising Quandary I see that my way of drawing Quandary differs a little bit from Maria´s  step-by-step instructions (Zentangle®). You can see my way below.

Again I used my Kraft drawing paper and started with the circle. After this I couldn´t stop tangling. So much fun! Thank you Laura for this wonderful challenge!

Happiness is Already There

Susi Froebelsternchen asked me for choosing the theme for the challenge "Art-Journal-Journey" this month. What a surprise and honour!
The theme I chose is "Moments of Happiness". I like the following quote from Socrates:

Happiness is already there. It is in us.
We only have forgotten it and we simply must remember again.
(Socrates)

(Sokrates)

Happines is Already There (2014; 21 x 29,7 cm; DIN A4)

I have created the background with my self-made spray paints and watercolors. You can see its creation in this earlier post.  I glued some pieces of a newspaper on the left. After that I paint over this part with watercolours and gesso and I stamped a little bit (remnant letters and numbers of DIY address stamp-kit). I paint the cards with acrylic paints and inks. Otherwise I used watercolour pencils, coloured pencils and ink pens.
