Celtic Challenge #31

Judy West had posted her Celtic Challenge #31 on her blog Creative Doodling with Judy . This is my first contribution to this nice challenge. I like the Celtic designs very much. This time the Judy´s posted pattern is a big one. The challenge was to put a different pattern in each section and shade the design to emphasize the over and under weave.

Challenge #128 : Swinging Ribbons

The Diva´s Weekly Challenge # 128: Two-Pencil String

This week's challenge is to create a Zentangle® tile or inspired piece using the two-pencil-string technique! Margaret Bremner (CZT) created the idea of using two attached pencils to draw a string.
This time I want to create a colored tile too. Therefore I painted a blue-yellow background with watercolors. After this I copied the monochrome tile on the colored paper. Finally I completed both with shading and colors respectively. I decide to post the black and white tile as well as the colored one.

I´m not please with the colored tile because the Paradox section have been to dark.

My Tile is named “Swinging Ribbons”

Last week I create an other colored tile. It isn´t a part of this challenge.

Zendala Dare # 66

This week Erin Koetz Olson, CZT® (see Button on the right hand side) posted a very interesting template. It was drawn by Mariet. Thank you Mariet! And Erin, thank you for posting this template.
I love this template very much because it appears movement like a swirl. At first I finished my zendala as a black and white version. This time I tried to add some turquoise color (I brought cold water to my mind against the tropical heat!). First I made a copy to be on the safe side. I was somewhat surprised about the result. My zendala got a quite other impression. Now I can´t decide whichever I shall post. Therefore both!

Challenge #127 - Flying Balls

The Diva´s Weekly Challenge # 127: “Duo Tangle v. VII: Cirquital/Opus”

This week's challenge is a DuoTangle. The challenge is to use only the two tangles Cirquital and Opus. I never used this tangles before. So at first I had to familiarize myself with these tangles. Also I wanted to create a monochrome tile. Therefore I used an indanthrene blue ink pen for my tile. For shading I used a soft pastel pen in steel-grey and a pencil in indigo. I like this dark blue so much and I had much fun with this challenge!
My Tile is named “Flying Balls”
